About Belen Telleria

Belén Telleria’s  work draws inspiration from the waves of colors and happenings from her travels. Her work is a tribute to the diversity of Color and its multi dimensionality. She likes to say “Color is something we feel”…  born in Mexico, she was enveloped by a culture that worships textures and colors, traveling through central America and finally settling in Costa Rica she found the geometry in nature to be her greatest inspiration. For her art she uses thread, acrylic, plaster, and mixed media to create her work. Her art has been seen in New York, Mexico, Costa Rica and Colombia.

The work bends and swerves light towards visually striking features. It truly portrays color as something we not only see but something we feel. The intricacy and delicacy of the thread serves as meditative practice of hand-selecting an array of colors which portray imagery and objects in mass that speak both to the uniqueness and versatility of it.
